About Second Chapter Editorial
Honest research before polish. Here's exactly how our editorial content is made.
- Who writes it
- Editorial content is signed “Second Chapter Editorial”. Today that is our founder; as the team grows, real editors will be named with their own profiles. We never invent writers, members, quotes or testimonials.
- How AI helps
- We sometimes use AI to produce a first draft from our own research facts and sources. It is told to use nothing else, and any sentence without a source is flagged. A person checks, edits and approves every piece — AI never publishes anything.
- How we source
- Every factual claim links to an official or reliable source. If we can't source something, we leave it out.
- Sensitive topics
- Visas, tax, legal, healthcare and insurance content is orientation only. Rules change, so always confirm with the official source or a qualified professional.
- Freshness
- Every piece shows when it was last reviewed and has a review schedule. When it's overdue we say so.
- Community starter questions
- In each place's community you may see a question labelled “Starter question from the editorial team”. These are prompts for real members to answer — we don't answer them ourselves pretending to be members.
- Corrections
- If you spot an error, tell us. We fix it and update the review date.
