We collect what's needed to connect you with people on a similar path — nothing more.
What we collect
Your account email, the profile you write, your plans for each destination, what you post, and the messages you send. Your birth year is stored privately and never shown.
Who can see what
Profiles are visible only to signed-in members. Each plan has its own visibility setting. Dates, notes and private plans are never shown to anyone else, and match scores are never shown at all.
Messages
Only the people in a conversation can read it. Our moderators can review a message only when it has been reported.
We don't sell data
We don't sell personal data.
Cookies and ad measurement
We'd like to use a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) cookie to learn whether our ads bring people here. It records page visits and sign-ups and shares them with Meta. Nothing loads unless you allow it, and you can change your mind any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Nothing is sent to Meta unless you allow it. We keep a record of your choice, when you made it and which notice you saw. You can see your choice and withdraw it yourself on our Cookies page (mysecondchapter.co/cookies); withdrawing stops sending immediately.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in Settings at any time. Your profile, plans and connections are removed; posts you wrote remain anonymised so threads stay readable.
